Data & security
Your business data is kept in your own Apple iCloud account. Our servers don't store your counts, recipes or invoices.
Where your data lives
Brigado stores everything on your devices and syncs it through iCloud, in your Apple Account. Apple encrypts it in transit and at rest. When you invite your team, they join your restaurant through iCloud sharing; each person uses their own Apple Account.
What we can't see
We have no copy of your items, prices, suppliers, recipes, counts or invoices, and no way to open them.
AI reading, only if you agree
Reading invoices and cloud voice counting are off until you agree the first time you use them. With your agreement, the invoice image or voice clip goes through our server to an AI provider (Anthropic; Google and OpenAI as backups) to be read. They don't keep it or train on it, and our server keeps no images, recordings or results. You can turn this off in Settings at any time; you then enter invoices by hand, and voice counting stays on your device.
What we do collect
- Anonymous usage counts, like how many items a count had and how long it took. Never names, prices, suppliers or people. You can turn this off in Settings ▸ Privacy.
- Crash reports stay on your device until you send a problem report, and you see the report before sending it.
- Subscription status comes from Apple; we don't receive your payment details.
Exports, deleting, leaving
- Export everything at any time as CSV, PDF or a full backup, with or without a plan.
- Delete data in the app; to delete everything, remove Brigado's data in iCloud settings.
- A staff member who leaves the team stops seeing the restaurant's data.
If Brigado ever shuts down
- We'll give at least 90 days' notice.
- The last update removes the paywall and stops renewals.
- Exports stay free and work entirely offline, so your data can always leave with you.
- The data in your iCloud stays yours.
